Colors are often referred to as “warm” or “cool.” Colors with yellow undertones will seem warmer while colors with blue or red undertones will appear cool. Cool colors – blues, greens and violets – invite relaxation and thought. Warm colors – reds, oranges and yellows – encourage conversation and play. Color experts at Sherwin-Williams Paint suggest using both warm and cool colors in rooms where you desire balance and variety.
