Of course, you could just take a stroll outside to see nature’s winter trappings. These include shades of gray, brilliant blues, and, of course, glittering white.
Personally, my favorite winter color combination is cream white and cranberry red.
When incorporating winter elements into your home, it doesn’t hurt to think cozy, warm, fuzzy thoughts. It’s a great time of year to bust out quilts, afghans, and blankets. Blankets not only serve a great purpose, but they give a room a burst of color and texture.
Pine cones and needles provide wonderful visual texture and smell fresh. When combined with another texture, like glass, it creates a vibrant dynamic.

Candles are especially appropriate for the cold winter months when the days are shorter. Plus, they typically smell nice. Good seasonal fragrances are cinnamon, vanilla, peppermint, and ginger.
I know I recommended this for Seasonal Decor: Autumn, but slipcover, like candles, are great for changing the dynamic of a room all year long. You don’t have to buy new furniture each time you want to refresh a room with new patterns or colors.
