September 20, 2010Springville – Five Star Painting’s C.A.R.E.S. Project was a success thanks to the number of volunteers who participated in the nationwide event on Saturday September 18, 2010. Thank you to our volunteers and sponsors for supporting us in Five Star Painting’s first annual C.A.R.E.S. Project, and thank you to our Five Star Painting Franchisees whose hard work, commitment, and spirit of community and volunteerism made this project possible. With collaboration between Five Star Painting franchisees and their respected city officials, Five Star Painting accumulated an abundant list of community cleanup and repainting to-do lists for the volunteers to tackle on the day of the event. Usually focused on using a fresh coat of paint to make patrons’ homes feel more like home again, Five Star Painting, Inc. hopes that volunteering their time and ability in this project helped to bring a new, fresher face to their communities.
Steven Oransky of Danvers, MA and his volunteers painted the John Cabot House at the Beverly Historical Society & Museum in Beverly, MA. Five Star Painting in Springville, under the direction of Jordan Gross, helped out at the Habitat for Humanity painting the freshly built Moreland Family Home. Our Oakland, MI project was postponed due to weather, but King Dominguez and his volunteers plan to finish painting 80-year-old Joanne Zpilaqlak’s home next weekend. Please check back next year for our second annual Five Star C.A.R.E.S. Project. If you have any questions about the projects mentioned above or if you would like to submit a project for next year’s event, please contact: Mikelle Despain |
