In many homes, kitchen cabinet refinishing is the better option when cabinets are in good shape. Painting kitchen cabinets is budget-friendly, quick, and delivers a strong visual impact. Cabinet painting in Franklin Lakes is a great fit for cabinets that are still in good condition but look dated. An experienced kitchen cabinet painter uses high-quality cabinet paint and proper prep for a lasting finish. Cabinet replacement or kitchen cabinet refacing may be needed if cabinets are damaged or no longer working. Structural issues often can’t be fixed with painting alone. For many homeowners, the best choice comes down to goals and budget. A trusted pro can assess whether cabinet painting, cabinet refinishing, or cabinet refacing will deliver the best results for a refreshed look that lasts.
-
Cabinet painting projects are often completed within 3 to 5 days, depending on size and prep. Smaller vanities may take 1 to 2 days, while full kitchen cabinet painting can take longer. In Franklin Lakes, the process starts with prep: hardware removal, degreasing, sanding, and masking. Then we apply primer and multiple coats of cabinet paint with proper drying and curing time. More time may be required for cabinet refinishing or cabinet refacing if repairs or enhancements are needed. Proper curing is critical for lasting results. Hiring a skilled kitchen cabinet painter keeps the project on track. Five Star Painting delivers organized timelines and consistent quality.
-
The wrong paint can lead to peeling, chipping, and poor results. Five Star Painting uses premium paints tailored to the specific materials of your cabinets to ensure proper adhesion, durability, and a refined finish. We recommend semi-gloss or satin finishes for most kitchen cabinets. Both look great and stand up to daily use in busy kitchens. The cabinet paint may vary by project, but a bonding primer is always used to ensure a lasting, strong finish. Ready to refresh your cabinets? Call (201) 528-6453 to explore cabinet paint and finish options in Franklin Lakes with Five Star Painting.
