Our transaction with Five Star Painting turned out very well. While our siding remained in excellent condition we were experiencing peeling on fascias and soffits. We sought bids and Five Star was very competitive, and when time came to do the job they were excellent at communicating with us and in actually doing the work. We are very satisfied.

I hired Five Star Painting to paint my house exterior. Among some eight proposals they were the second lowest. The thing that convinced me to select them as our painting contractor was the person that did our initial bid, the Project Manager, Kerry Smith. He was prompt, precise and provided a detailed breakdown of every facet of the job including scope and price. Five Star was the only proposal that stated that they would apply 2 coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration grade of paint instead of the rest of my bidders that chose the entry level of custom paints, SuperPaint. They even provided a professional color consultant that met me at my house to provide direction on the proper color. The job lasted just two days for a two story 3300 square foot home with zero callbacks. Ask Kerry and Five Star for a bid and be completely satisfied like me.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
I had an excellent experience with Five Star Painting, especially working with Kerry throughout the entire process. The moment I received the quote, I was honestly impressed. Everything was clearly itemized, easy to understand, and very reasonably priced — especially with their spring season discount. It immediately gave me confidence that I was dealing with a professional company. What stood out the most to me was Kerry’s professionalism, communication, and ownership mindset. He was always responsive, even during weekends and after normal business hours, and he consistently kept his word from start to finish. The project was completed on time, communication was smooth throughout the process, and he made everything feel easy and stress-free. I also appreciated that even when additional wood needed to be purchased during the project, Kerry honored the original pricing and did not try to increase costs afterward. That level of integrity is rare and truly appreciated. Kerry came across as knowledgeable, trustworthy, kind, and genuinely committed to doing a good job for the customer. I would absolutely recommend Five Star Painting to anyone looking for exterior painting work done professionally and honestly. Thank you again, Kerry, Michael and the Five Star Painting team!

The project was completed quickly, expertly with no surprises. I'd hired them again in a heartbeat. In addition, the manager responded immediately to all my questions and concerns. I'm their third customer in the neighborhood. Based on their previous work I knew my job would be done well.

Common signs your property needs painting include peeling, flaking, or cracking paint, as well as fading or discolored surfaces. These issues are especially noticeable on exterior walls. Damaged paint isn’t just unsightly, it can lead to moisture infiltration, wood rot, and mold. Watch for chalking, water marks, or staining as indicators that professional painting services are needed. Most interior paint lasts 5 to 10 years, and exterior finishes often need refreshing within 5 to 7 years. If your property falls within these ranges, consider scheduling a professional painting assessment. Contact Five Star Painting in Tualatin for a free assessment of your property’s painting needs. We will evaluate your surfaces and provide honest recommendations.
