Scott Specker is the Owner and General Manager of Five Star Painting of Cumming, Alpharetta, and Buford, where he leads one of North Georgia’s most trusted residential and commercial painting teams. Under his leadership, the company has completed thousands of projects and served more than 14,000 homeowners and businesses over the past decade. Scott has been recognized with multiple industry honors including Franchisee of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and several Million Dollar Club awards, reflecting his commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Known for his customer-first leadership style, Scott focuses on improving every step of the client experience—from consultation and project management to final walkthrough—while continuously adopting new tools and technology to enhance efficiency and transparency. His proactive approach to leadership, problem solving, and team development has helped position Five Star Painting as a standout painting contractor across North Georgia. Outside of work, Scott enjoys traveling with his wife, woodworking, fly fishing, and playing tennis. He is also actively involved in supporting local schools, community organizations, and professional networks throughout the region.

Customers benefit from Sharon's 20+ years of expertise in customer service. She manages all financial aspects of the business, also handling escalation, product fulfillment, and behind-the-scenes operations. Incredibly dedicated to her family of Scott, her husband, three active boys, and a dog named Bayleigh, she also reminisces about the afternoons on the tennis court as a fierce ALTA player. Today she lives out her passion of community service with her family as a way of modeling a life well-lived.

Malessa serves as the operational backbone of Five Star Painting, coordinating production schedules, client communication, and project logistics to keep jobs running smoothly. Since joining the team in May 2022, she has successfully scheduled and coordinated 2,352 painting projects totaling over $10.3 million in completed work, managing multi-crew production schedules during peak seasons while maintaining exceptional communication with clients and crews. Her expertise includes multi-crew scheduling, weather-dependent project coordination, warranty tracking, specialty coating scheduling, and complex billing administration for large contracting projects. Malessa has sent more than 7,000 client initiation emails and over 21,000 scheduling and production communications, ensuring customers stay informed throughout every phase of their project. Malessa is OSHA 30 Certified and currently completing CAPM project management coursework, further strengthening her ability to manage complex production environments. She also volunteers with Forsyth County Schools’ Mock Interview and Career Readiness Program, helping students prepare for future careers. Outside of work, Malessa enjoys spending time with her husband Larry, her three grown children, and their two dogs.

With over 24 years in the painting industry, including 19 years as a professional painting contractor, Kim brings deep expertise in residential and commercial coatings, project consulting, and customer experience. She has successfully sold over 450 residential projects and 21 commercial projects, generating more than $3.5 million in total revenue for Five Star Painting. Kim has led several high-value and complex projects, including large commercial work for Fulton County Schools, medical facilities, retail spaces, and corporate offices. Her largest projects include contracts exceeding $100,000, along with complex commercial environments such as the H&M store at the Mall of Georgia. Known for her consultative approach, Kim excels at helping homeowners and property managers choose the right coatings, colors, and project scope to maximize both durability and design impact. Outside of work, Kim enjoys hiking in the North Georgia mountains with her husband, spending time with her daughters and granddaughter, and supporting homeless outreach and church volunteer programs in the community.

Becca brings a strong service background and customer-focused mindset to her role as a Sales Consultant at Five Star Painting. She has generated over $3.3 million in landed project revenue, successfully closing 880 painting projects with an average job size exceeding $3,800. Her experience includes managing thousands of project estimates and client consultations, helping homeowners understand project scope, coatings, and timelines while ensuring a smooth customer experience from estimate to completion. Becca’s hospitality background has shaped her communication style and commitment to client satisfaction, making her a trusted advisor for homeowners throughout North Georgia. Outside of work, Becca enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, and spending time with her family.

Jay brings more than 20 years of sales and service experience across multiple industries including real estate, hospitality, and health and fitness. At Five Star Painting he has delivered outstanding results, completing 536 projects and generating over $2.4 million in revenue with a strong 35% project close rate. Jay specializes in helping homeowners navigate renovation decisions by clearly explaining project scope, coatings, and long-term maintenance considerations. His background in multiple service industries allows him to connect easily with clients and guide them through the painting process with confidence. Outside of work, Jay enjoys golfing, tackling home improvement projects, serving in his church and community, and spending time creating memorable experiences with his daughters.

Stephani brings over 20 years of experience in communications, customer experience, and relationship development, supporting both marketing strategy and business development for Five Star Painting. Her expertise includes brand messaging, partnership development, customer outreach, and event coordination, helping expand the company’s visibility across schools, businesses, and community organizations. Stephani’s background in studio operations, corporate training, and client relations allows her to effectively connect with customers and partners while strengthening the company’s local reputation. Stephani holds degrees in Journalism and Religion from the University of Georgia and has additional certifications in personal training, nutrition, and professional communication tools. Her ability to combine strategic marketing with personal relationship building makes her a valuable part of the Five Star Painting team.

Eber Meza brings a strong blend of field expertise and leadership to his role as Project Manager at Five Star Painting. Since joining the team in April 2025, he has successfully managed over 150 residential and commercial painting projects, ensuring each job is completed with precision, efficiency, and clear communication between clients, crews, and the production team. Eber has overseen a wide range of projects including large residential repaints and complex commercial environments. His largest residential project managed to date was a $26,220 exterior repaint, while his largest commercial project managed independently was an interior new commercial construction project for a large general contractor valued at $43,925. He also collaborated on a major commercial project involving a large exterior brick warehouse totaling $80,640, demonstrating his ability to coordinate multiple crews and maintain production quality on complex projects. Prior to joining Five Star Painting, Eber gained valuable industry experience supervising crews and managing projects with a national painting contractor. He also developed extensive coatings knowledge while working with Sherwin-Williams, giving him a strong technical understanding of professional paint systems and product performance. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Eber is known for his strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and commitment to delivering a smooth and professional customer experience. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, and relaxing with music.

Facundo Alvez brings a strong construction background and a passion for craftsmanship to his role as Project Manager at Five Star Painting. Since joining the team in August 2025, he has managed nearly 90 residential and commercial painting projects, helping homeowners and businesses successfully complete high-quality property improvements. Facundo has coordinated projects ranging from detailed residential repaints to commercial environments. His largest residential project managed to date was a $23,000 repaint, and he has also overseen commercial work including a $11,000 industrial logistics facility project. In addition, he collaborated on a major commercial job involving a large exterior brick warehouse totaling $80,640, demonstrating his ability to help coordinate larger multi-crew commercial projects. Originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, Facundo takes pride in delivering projects with attention to detail, strong crew coordination, and consistent communication with clients. His hands-on construction experience allows him to anticipate challenges in the field and keep projects moving efficiently while maintaining Five Star Painting’s quality standards. Outside of work, Facundo enjoys spending time with his family, visiting the beach, and following his passion for soccer.
